Volunteering: Raw Energy Pursuits are keen to recruit volunteers for their 2024 events. Volunteers are the people who really make an event work and make the athletes’ experience special. Our volunteers can perform a number of roles and will work in teams to make the event run smoothly and an enjoyable day. REP has received glowing reports about our great team from race referees and the athletes themselves.

If you fancy offering your services for an event then please contact Debbie or Mick at info@rawenergypursuits.co.uk. Every volunteer will receive a marshal pack to see you through you event and we will also provide you with food and drink vouchers and of course one our legendary event T-Shirts (See our Mechandise page).

Most of our events are on weekends and some have fairly early starts. The roles available: Registration Desk, Finish Zone, Transition Area, Aid Stations, Venue Marshals, Direction Marshals (Cycle & Run), Car Parking, equipment and distribution. Volunteers will receive either one complimentary race entry for any future REP event for you, a partner or a friend or out of pocket expenses.

So if you’re an athlete who’s willing to give up a morning for a free race or a supporter who feels like helping please let us know and be part of Team Raw Energy!

Who marshals at REP events? We have a range of regulars who play key roles within the team; others enjoy their experience and meet other people. If you’re an injured athlete or having a day off and have 2-4 hours spare then you’ll get a free race on us of your choosing.

As a marshal you may be expected to offer advice, answer some questions or simply offer encouragement; and you know that you will have contributed to delivering a great event. Marshals receive a huge amount of appreciation from athletes.

What’s next? We’ll add you to our marshals list and then nearer the event date we’ll send you an email with event maps and details about your specific responsibilities. We often require marshals to be onsite early but we won’t expect you to hang around for too long and will keep updated throughout the race.

The REP experience: Our aim is to look after you and hopefully you’ll feel part of the team. We have years of experience both in racing, organising and being part of the volunteer network. The courses and routes have all been personally tested and as quite a few are around the Sussex coast or South Downs National Park we know they’re picturesque too. We’re lucky to be able hold a number of events on private estates such as Angmering Park Estate, Norfolk Estate (Arundel), Parham House and the Firle Estate, so at the very least you know you’re going to be marshalling in some stunning locations.
