The Lezyne Arundel Lido Triathlon is now in its 22nd year. Arundel itself is steeped in history with its Castle and the River Arun running through the town. The heated Lido is iconic and nestles within the town under the shadow of the famous castle. Arundel is a popular tourist location and a great place to spend a weekend
The event is suitable for triathletes of all abilities whether you’re honing your pre-season training or a complete novice, everyone is welcome. There are two distances, Standard (750m/35km/8.4km) and Sprint (400m/19km/4.6km) with both having the option of an Aquabike category. The bike course is regularly used by cyclists and has good visibility. There is a long gradual climb shortly after the start, but generally this is a fast course. Both runs head out over the river and along a stunning tree lined avenue by the Castle. The Standard turns on the footbridge in the village of South Stoke and the Sprint is a fast out and back route to the Black Rabbit Pub for a fast 4.6km. Youth competitors (15-16yrs) in the Sprint Tri, will start first from 07:40hrs when traffic is lighter.
All competitors will receive one of our famous T-Shirts and free unlimited race photographs from Sussex Sport Photography. Arundel’s shops, cafes, pubs, museums, boat trips and castle will also be open to the public, making this a great event for the whole family.
