Raw Energy Pursuits and Horsham Amphibians Tri Club have teamed again to organise this fantastic race which is now in its 36th year and as popular as ever.  The race is ideal for newbies or experienced triathletes and coming at the end of the season there’s always a great party atmosphere and camaraderie between athletes and clubs.  Results Base partner page

How does it work in 2025: Each team consists of three competitors, who complete the course as follows: Team member No. 1 will take part in the mass swim start at 8am, followed by a 18km cycle, and a 3.8km run.  NEW: Team member No. 2 will start just before the last swimmer from Wave 1 exits the water and completes the swim, cycle & run as above and once the last Wave 2 swimmer is exiting the water, Team member No. 3 will start and complete the swim, bike and run. The team’s time will be calculated as team member No. 3 finishes the course.

IMPORTANT: Wave 2 and Wave 3 swimmers will start in a time trial format from the pontoon and their individual start times taken by the timing crew. ONLY Wave 1 is a mass start.  Most competitors will be on the cycle course by 09:15hrs when the roads are much quieter.  Android timing will give each competitor their combined swim, bike & run time.  Wetsuits are compulsory.

There is no limit to the number of teams per club, but each team must be individually detailed. Changes to team members with full emergency/medical details MUST be completed by Sunday 31st August 2025 via the Results Base website. Detailed information is available on the website to help with this process. This is crucial to ensure we have all emergency contact information and to ensure team information and classifications can be finalised. Team changes made after this time may not be eligible for category prizes or recorded correctly in the results.  Entries cannot be carried forward to the following year. Race HQ: Southwater Country Park, Cripplegate Lane, Southwater, Horsham RH13 9UN.

Parking: Head to the top of Cripplegate Lane in Southwater where our parking team will direct you to the next available car park. The postcode is RH13 9JD.

Entry Fee: £144 per team of three

Distances: Each competitor swims, cycles and runs (400m/18km/3.8km) 

Registration: Race packs are collected on race day.

IMPORTANT: British Triathlon Membership/Race Pass. Competitors need to be ‘Core’ or ‘Ultimate’ British Triathlon members or purchase a Race Pass from British Triathlon. Race Passes are £8 adults or £2 for Juniors (24yrs or under on 31/12/25) Link to BT’s race pass will be available from 1st Jan 2025. British Triathlon members MUST show proof of their affiliation at registration or purchase a BT Pass.

Other information

  • Race Course: The swim takes place in the lake (400m), the cycle passes through Barns Green, Brooks Green, Coolham, along the A272 then back to Southwater via the A24 (approx. 12 miles), the run is twice around the Country Park (approx. 2 miles)
  • First Aid: Medi 4 paramedics, BT Draft-busters and Horsham Lifesavers.
  • Facilities: Toilets and limited showering facilities are available at the event.
