Arundel is steeped in history with its Castle and the River Arun running through the town. Located between Chichester and Worthing in West Sussex, Arundel is a very popular location with tourists and great place to spend a weekend away. This will be the 20th year of the Arundel Lido Triathlon Race HQ, which takes place at one of the UK’s best Lido’s, right on the banks of the River Arun and under the shadow of the castle.

The event is suitable for triathletes of all abilities whether you’re honing your pre-season training or a complete novice, everyone is welcome.

What are the distances?  Standard, Relay and Aquabike will race over an 750m swim, 35km bike, 8.4km run and the Sprint and Aquabike over a 400m swim, 19km bike, 4.6km run. The outdoor pool is heated, so no wetsuits are required.  The bike course is on popular roads used by cyclists with good visibility.  Despite the long gradual climb shortly after the start, the bike course is fast.  The Standard run takes athletes along a stunning tree lined avenue by the Castle and River Arun before heading to the village of South Stoke and returning.  The Sprint run is flat, out and back to the Black Rabbit Pub for a fast 4.6km.  Standard & Relay competitors start at 6am and the Sprint at 7:15am.

All competitors will receive one of our famous T-Shirts, pack of Protein Balls and free unlimited race photographs from Sussex Sport Photography.  Arundel’s shops, cafes, pubs, museums, boat trips and castle will also be open to the public, making this a great event for the whole family.
