2026 date to be confirmed, but it will be in its14th year of the River Adur 5km Swim. The tide will be with you all the way and build up speed the further downstream you go towards the finish. To ensure swimmers have the best possible experience, we limit the capacity to 325. There are two categories, Fin Swim & Swim, but the vast majority of competitors now just swim unaided, but if you fancy giving the Fin Swim a go, you can wear a pair of fins of your choice to speed your way to finish.

We’ll take you by coach from Shoreham-by-Sea to the start at Upper Beeding and you can then meander your way back to the finish with the current pushing you along in record time! You’ll have to negotiate three sandbanks and we guarantee some of you will run aground!

Competitors will receive free photos, kit bag, silicone swim cap and Protein Balls. Shoreham town centre is conveniently located across the bridge with plenty of bars and restaurants along the river for that perfect post race drink or meal; we might even join you!
