The RNLI, Harbour Master, RIB crews from the Arun Youth Aqua Centre and our experienced safety kayakers were on the water with the Sussex Search & Rescue Team onshore as our spotters. Next year the Harbour Lights Café will be open which will be good as that is the heart of the event before & after the swim.

Our River Adur Fin Swim is now in its third year and numbers, like this one are increasing steadily already.  It’s a 5km swim with the current in the River Adur at Shoreham on Saturday 31st August at 1:30pm. Swim times are just as quick, ranging from 52min for the fastest to 1hr 50min for the slowest. We’ll bus you up to the start by the old Cement Works in a vintage bus and you can then meander through the river finishing at the Adur Activity Centre and their great new facilities. Whilst it’s called the Fin Swim, the vast majority swim without them, but you’re more than welcome to wear a set of fins.  At the finish you’ll get a large slice of complimentary flapjack, courtesy of Devon’s best baker https://flapjackery.co.uk/  We’ll even throw in free hot & cold drinks and of course free photos.
