New 10 mile course record – Clif Bar Bluebell Run

A new course record was set on the 10 mile run for the second successive year, with Rob Sherwood from Team THE clocking 57.36, beating the previous record by almost 30 seconds.   Hot on his heals was Tim Lunnon from Crawley AC in 58:49 and Julian Middlewick (David Lloyd Port Solent) in 1:00:55.  Veteran Jo Bryce won the women’s race in 1:08:16, followed by another veteran from Burgess Hill Runners in 1:15:42 with Laura Starmer from Amphibians Tri Club taking third in 1:17:29. Congratulations to Ed McDonagh from Camberwell who won the 10km race in 38:35.  Thomas Caffyn (Worthing Striders) was 2nd in 38:59 and local runner Gary Baynes from Littlehampton 3rd in 40:50. Arena 80’s Veteran Tara Shanahan won in 43:35, almost 4 minutes ahead of Karina Eustace from Clapham Chasers (47:45) and Sara McDonagh in 3rd in 49:49.   Provisional results from today’s runs can be seen HERE you can also see your speed, pace and VO2 Max.  Don’t forget your entry fee includes FREE unlimited race day images HERE
