River Adur Swim – SHOREHAM | Saturday 26th August 2017 | Details soon
Date & format to be confirmed. Online entry not currently open
River Adur Swim – Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex.
Following the success of previous swims in the Adur, we’re planning a new challenge for 2017 to match our Ironman Swim in the River Arun. However, this one will be 5km but with the tide all the way so it’ll definitely be the quickest 5km you’ll ever swim! Full details and format will be announced in the next few months. You’ll still have to negotiate the sandbanks for the quickest route. The exact start time will be dependent on river and weather conditions but our aim is to give you the best possibility of securing your personal best. All the usual REP safety cover will be provided, including RIB’s, kayaks and safety spotters on the river bank and we’re hoping to use the old AOAC as our base showers and refreshments – Shoreham Town Centre will also be open and all within the foothills of the South Downs National Park.
Provisional date Saturday 26th August 2017 – Bank Holiday weekend.
FURTHER DETAILS TO BE ANNOUNCED IN THE NEXT FEW MONTHS.
Entry Fee: 5km Swim = £28
Race HQ is the Adur Outdoor Activities Centre, Brighton Road, Shoreham-by-Sea, BN43 5LT. The registration and finish will all be at this location. Shoreham is about 8 miles west of Brighton and 7 miles east of Worthing.
